Eco-Arborcare is arboriculture with an environmental edge. The goal with our company is to use biodegradable and re-used materials to keep our footprint small while keeping a keen eye on our emissions. Our smaller 6 inch chipper takes care of the brush while everything else can be either be neatly stacked for habitat, used for firewood, or hauled away by a local sawyer and used for lumber. Eco-Arborcare sprouted from our founder’s experiences at Paul Smith’s College, his years of expertise in the arboriculture industry, and a desire to cultivate a healthy planet through local actions. We prove you can have the best tree care today, while planning for future generations. As stewards of our earth, we strive to improve current practices through innovative thinking and develop new standards for the arboriculture industry.
You won't always hear the noisy echos of gas chainsaws, instead, you will see our whole fleet of battery powered equipment. Eco-Arborcare is committed to thoughtfully adapting our services to reduce the impacts on our ecosystems such as using canvas versus plastic tarps and using biodegradable canola oil to lubricate our chains on our chainsaws.
Your satisfaction is our priority. We strive to provide a service we are proud of at every step of the process. We start every project by providing a thorough consultation to understand your goals and the needs of you and your landscape. We also talk about environmentally friendly ways to approach your work. We do this and guarantee that the project is completed according to your preferences.
Patrick, the owner of Eco-Arborcare, is a native Vermonter who grew up climbing maples in Newbury, VT. After graduating high school, he moved to the Adirondacks, where he completed his degree at Paul Smith's College in Arboriculture and Landscape Management. Since earning his degree, Patrick has gained over 10 years of experience climbing and pruning trees throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. Before starting his own business, Patrick was the foreman for seven years at a small tree care company where he was able to transition his love of trees into a career.
When he’s not pruning or talking trees with customers, you will most likely find him on some adventure with his wife Caroline and his dogs Pax and Rue. Mountain biking and skiing are some of their favorites. Patrick is also an avid motorcyclist, so don’t be too surprised if he chooses a more fuel efficient way of transportation to show up for an estimate.
